Developing nanoscale memory chips empowering world

I was intereseted in nanoelectronics since my high school days, wondering how come such a small semiconductor chip contains billions of transistors. Sparked by this inquisitiveness, I opted for Electronics Enginerring and started to learn more about the world of transistors. In Masters, I researched on transistors and fabricated them in the cleanroom. As I continued with my studies and research, my interest in nanoelectronics further strenghened. I was determined to have career in the semiconductor industry and to contribute in developing chips which empower world. After graduation, I got accepted by Micron and have been developing some of the world's most advanced memory solutions ever since. This journey has been fascinating and I would like to continue learning and contributing my bit to the Micron's endeavor of "Transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all".

I design next generation cutting-edge memory solutions

I am part of the design team involved in developing advanced DRAM memory solutions. We start with understanding customer's requirement, plan how to design the chip and then proceed with the circuit creation. Design process goes over the course of multiple months, followed by extensive analog and digital verifications. These verifications help in figuring out discrepancies of the circuit. After the completion of design and verification phase, chip is taped out for the fabrication. If customer faces some issue upon receiving the product, we look into it and try to address it with modifications as needed.

I can grow while working on different challenging technologies

My current position offers significant opportunities to work on advanced technologies. It helps me to learn and grow further. Apart from enhancing the technical competence, I also get the opportunity to learn about latest business and market trends owing to our customer oriented approach. Micron is very multinational, multicultural company and has teams located across different parts of the world. My position provides many opportunities to intearct with diverse group of people and learn more about cultures.

Learn everyday, develop growth mindset and enjoy the work.

Growth mindset is very helpful in honing one's skills and being prepared for the challenges in the present day world where technology evolves rapidly. Trying and learning new skills can be really helpful in the advancement of career. Moreover, enjoying what you do while thinking of bigger picture about how it affect lives of others in a positive way is helpful in keeping oneself motivated and energized.

I was part of the team which helped in creating market leading product. It is best in class in terms of power and is being used in high-end smartphones, automobiles currently.
