Dear Melody,
It heavily depends on your overall seniority.
Logically, if you are an experienced talent with over 3 years' or even longer experience, then yes, your work experience on your resume could impact our evaluation on your competency with the Micron job that you apply. If you are a relatively junior talent with less than 3 years' working experience, then the impact of your experience on our evaluation of your competency could be leveraged also by other qualifications like skillset, willingness to learn, and education & major.
However, please be bold to contact our hiring team if you evaluate yourself as the talent with the right skills although your work experience may not look the best competent one for a certain job, because in Micron, we hold the spirit of skill-based hiring, and we value talent's willingness and capability to learn and acquire new skills in need for a certain role, so instead of just putting all eyesight on the work experience, we are also open-minded to your skills and other qualifications.
Thank you!
